Whether people want it to or not, the world wide web is changing the way we obtain knowledge, interact with others, and is revolutionizing education. Before, the internet provided information that we could view or purchase things, but now, we have to ability to interact with each other through blogs, social media, review comment sections, and many other options. We are no longer limited to the "passive viewing of content" (wikipedia) as we once were with web 1.0. Education is changing dramatically with each year that passes. For example, this class, KIN 710 Tech. in Kines., is completely online and I interact with all my classmates through blogs and forums. There are now colleges that are specifically online schools to provide convenience and accessibility for students who's schedules do not allow them to go to class in the traditional setting. Like I said, whether people like it or not, the internet has revolutionized human interaction and education and I don't think these things are going to go away.
First off, Dark Horse Athletics is by far the best blog name in this class, and possibly ever. It's crazy to think how much the internet has changed our world, the way we do things, the way we think and the way we learn. I remember being a kid around 1993 and just being fascinated that we could find out the scores of baseball games simply by turning on the computer. Whereas before we had to listen to the radio or wait for the paper in the morning. It's crazy to think that just 15 years ago, the only phones just about anyone had was a home phone. No text messages and certainly no internet on the go. It will be interesting to see how it continues to evolve and change the next generation.
